Nice review of Notes 8.5 on the Mac in PC World magazine!

Check out the review!

Some highlights:
Notes 8.5 . . . is a huge step forward for Mac  users

. . .better integration with calendars and other services

. . . the only other real alternative to Microsoft Exchange

particularly nice feature is its (ability to) combine both work and personal schedules (all all platforms)

the new  UI is much more modern, Connections, Quickr . .. much easier to do through the same interface

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Carrene Tracy on our  visual design team. She was the primary visual designer working on the "Mac look" and, as you know from reading this blog, she has lots more ideas of where to take Notes on the Mac. Thank you, Carrie!

Guys, check out the email client that comes with OSX and how nice it is to create a calendar entry... nice drag and start typing. Come on, please bring this functionality to Notes. We should have had it in Notes 4 :-)

The amazing thing is how this functionality is available via Apples Mobile Me web service... This is where IBM should be focusing. Making an incredible powerful and user friendly email client with offline capability that companies can host internally, so they can do away with heavy email clients !

I am not able to find any information on the next release beyond 8.5........
